Packaging Quality Annalyst for Supply Chain is a challenging yet rewarding and fulfilling role! AB Heineken Philippines (ABHP) is a new player in the country’s beer market, and our goal is to change consumers’ behavior when it comes to their choices for a beer. Of course, ours is premium, all-natural, and easy on the wallet – that’s why we are so far doing more than well. And in order to be a better player in the market, we first have to put that quality product into their hands. And that's where your skills come in!
You will be working in line with the defined and implemented global safety standards to:
- Ensure a clean and tidy working area without unnecessary losses of consumables/chemicals, in line with the defined and implemented safety standards and following 5S and HACCP standards at the workplace
- Make all the quality checks in line with the Laboratory Star System (LSS) procedures and procedures on sampling and analyses.
- Participate and play an active role in improvement teams related to laboratory and supports implementation of these improvement opportunities or corrective actions in the laboratory (ISO9001, LSS, TPM etc.) by validating customers’ complaints that relate to PKG
- Execute all simple laboratory analyses (Analytical and Sensory for Packaging), including sampling, sample preparation and reporting results for packaging, in line with the valid Laboratory Methods
- Perform Packaging Quality Index Checking and reporting to Shift Team leader issue encountered during check
- Prepares chemical solutions needed for the analyses (in the laboratory and production environment) and encode results to Qualass Database
- Perform functionality checking for Quality Control related equipment (e.g. checkmat, EBI, etc.) and oversee the local Sensory Panel
- When the need arise, perform batch releases for filtration (only during night shift) – apply to beer line
- Perform ATP testing in the packaging line after each CIP activity
- Supervise and monitor the reworks of on-hold products and check incoming packaging materials (crowns, labels, bottles, cans, crates)
- Send regular sample (quarterly) to the Netherlands and Singapore for quality check
- Performs simple maintenance, calibration and verification of analysis equipment (in laboratory and production environment)
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Food Technology. Having a general certificate of laboratory technician (physical and chemical) is an advantage!
We prefer someone who has experience in:
- laboratory processes (food industry)
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Conversant in spoken and written English
