Job Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for being the centre of knowledge for all matters electrical in support of operations and maintenance for the combined power plant assets. The post holder will provide expert electrical engineering knowledge for day to day matters outside the capability of the site teams and during inspections, overhauls, plant failure situations and in optimising the approach to the full range of maintenance philosophies for the plant sites. The post-holder will be expected to significantly contribute to resolution of technical issues inhibiting flexible plant performance and in proposing plant improvement options.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proposes solutions and supports resolution of difficult site issues whilst ensuring best practices.
- Troubleshoot, Maintain and Repair Site Electrical Equipment
- Proposes solutions and supports resolution of difficult site issues whilst ensuring best practices.
- Significantly contributes to overall efforts in enhancing asset management practices across multi-sites for long term integrity and cost optimization.
- Develops lifecycle management plans for the electrical assets.
- Understands the capital investment process and undertakes necessary investment appraisal analysis.
- Leads the execution of key projects on the power plants.
- Supports the site teams in ensuring all necessary technical activities are incorporated within the outage programme.
- Develops outage scopes for the assets as per the Outage gate review process.
- Leads and Performs root cause analysis techniques to support the site teams in resolving difficult technical issues and to provide investigative expertise.
- Ensures excellent standards are maintained during project implementation through appropriate policies and practical application.
- Evaluates and performs technical and quality accreditation of suppliers.
- Interfaces as necessary with the site's CMMS.
- Ensures appropriate application and enhancement of maintenance philosophies applied across all plant sites. Leads resolution of threats and improvement proposals.
- Produces concise technical reports and ensures plant status change management control procedures are fully implemented.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Electrical Engineer
- At least 8 years of experience specialized in Electrical Engineering in a Power Generation Plant or similar industry
- Exemplary technical know-how and track record in Electrical Engineering field
- Project Management experience involving plant improvement
- Should be amenable to be based in Taguig City, BGC and being doing travels to different site locations of the company.
