Job Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring implementation of the quality assurance and quality control quality procedures and specifications in the site. The role requires completion of periodic management system audits to ensure work activities are performed in accordance with established processes and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains quality control tools and quality assurance instructions.
- Performs Root Cause Analysis to support the sites in resolving difficult technical issues.
- Conducts equipment failure or breakdown inspection and making root cause analysis reports. Gives permission for box up of equipment by clearing equipment alignment.
- Drafts preventive plan for scheduled plant overhauling.
- Executes Parent Material Identification(PMI), Hardness Test and Thickness survey for tubes, pipes, and plates.
- Carries out inspection and checking for all quality-related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
- Coordinates with QA/QC Expert, Facility Operations and Maintenance quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.
- Files QA/QC documents of projects including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
- Responsible for the closure of the site Non-conformance Report (NCR).
- Documents quality complaints, conducts investigation and analysis, resolves quality problems, follows up corrective and preventive action.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Registered Mechanical Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control of a power plant or similar industry
- Must be amenable to be hired as a reliever for 4 to 6 months
- Must be amenable to be assigned in Toril, Davao
