Job Description
Position Summary
This position shall provide physical, strategic, and technical support in securing and maintaining permits and licenses, as well as in filings and submissions of reports to different government agencies and local government units having jurisdiction over the concerned Project site.
He/She supports the Project Manager in contract and case management; acts as the primary point of contact between the Project Management Team and the business unit's face-to-face commercial contract management from preparation to execution. He/She handles and strategically resolves compliance and legal issues escalated/raised subject to the Project Manager’s clearance. Lastly, he/she will provide support to the Project Manager in crafting roll out plans for the Project with respect to new/changing laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor, digest, and cascade upcoming power industry requirements from regulatory agencies, affiliate organizations, and special interest groups
- Secure copies of legal requirements from regulatory agencies, affiliate organizations, and special interest groups related to the Project.
- Identify applicable legal requirement, consult/inform complying department/section
- Include/disseminate applicable requirements in Legal and other requirements of complying department/section
- If compliant, monitor/execute assigned compliance. If not compliant, formulate a compliance plan to comply with the requirement.
- Monitor, update, and report monthly Project compliance dashboard
- Maintain and update Legal Records in coordination with the Commercial and Documentation Officer.
- Secure internal/external requirements needed for the Permits/Certification
- Review Contract Terms and Conditions
- Monitor execution and renewal of the Contract
- Provide commercial contract management from preparation to execution support to the Project Manager
- Spearheads the commercial contracts due diligence in coordination with BU’s Compliance Team.
- Provides quality control of commercial contract submissions to ensure proper execution
- In case of non-compliance, create and formulate corrective/preventive compliance plans with “Accountable and Responsible/s”
- Review facts, gather documents and records, raise issues
- Endorse and coordinate with Corporate Legal or External Counsel for solution development and closure.
- Provide expert contribution in the completion of the Project Risk Management Plan
- Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external compliance stakeholders to promote business objectives of the Project in coordination with the Business Unit Compliance team.
- Receive incident/request report, assess and recommend action/compliance plans and execute once approved
- In coordination with the Energy Storage Systems development team, conduct a regulatory survey/mapping of needed permits for projects/initiative
- Facilitates turnover of new permits, licenses, and contracts
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communication Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience
- At least 1 year of Leadership experience
- At least 3 years of Project management
