Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing and Implementing a Fundraising Strategy:

  1. Help develop exciting and creative fundraising strategies by tapping various sources and maximizing the organization's strength in media and public relations.
  2. Work with the Corporate Marketing Lead in developing strategies for recruiting major donors.
  3. Work with the Events and Special Projects Team in developing fundraising events, including receptions for major donors and special performances.
  4. Recruit new supporters and advocates who may contribute significantly to fundraising initiatives of ALKFI at the local level.

Establishing support systems for fundraising:

  1. Conduct research of potential funding opportunities and send applications to trust funds and potential donors.
  2. Assist in the creation and implementation of clear systems that will ensure regular grants applications and proposals.

Donor Relationships:

  1. Establish, nurture and manage relationships with existing donors through regular project updates, reports and other activities that promote donor satisfaction.
  2. Ensure the accuracy, updating and accessibility of donation records and donor information.

Policy/ Systems Administration/ Compliance:

  1. Implement appropriate systems/ procedures in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
  2. Adherence to ALKFI Vision-Mission-Values and compliance with ALKFI/ HRD/ SIFC policies.
  3. Attend regular Department meetings or as needed.

Others:

  1. Perform other functions that may be required by the Immediate Supervisor and Department Head.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • ALKFI's Vision/ Mission/ Values/ Core Programs
  • Fundraising Essentials
  • Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Donor Relationships/ partnerships
  • Government and institutional regulations on fundraising

Educational Attainment and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing Communication, and other relevant courses.
  • Proven fund-raising experience.
