Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provide a reliable transmission service for various groups such as news gathering, production, foundation, special events and other remote transmission requirements.
- Provide on-site assistance to Transmission Group during restoration service, maintenance and project implementation.
- Provide on-duty requirements of Broadcast Telecoms Operations (BTO) - Traffic.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for proper set-up, pack-up and safeguard of transmission facilities handled by Telecoms Deployment to provide a reliable transmission requirement.
- Coordinate for signal establishment/qualification with internal engineering.
- Provide on-site assistance to Support Group for signal restorations, maintenance and project implementations.
- Provide on-duty service for Broadcast Telecoms Operations traffic requirement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any technical course (Preferably Electronics and Communications Engineer / General Radio Communications Operator; preferably with a license)
- Basic knowledge on proper handling transmission facilities used for mobile uplink system (antenna systems, transmitters/receivers, up/down converters, modulators, power amplifiers), portable microwave systems, telephone sets, fiber optics and terminals and TCP/IP. Should be able to adapt in the ever-changing technologies that is being used for broadcasting and transmission.
- Basic know how proper handling broadcast and compression facilities used for newsgathering like audio/video processors, routers, distribution amplifier, encoders, decoders, modems and the likes.
- Could operate basic broadcast video and audio test and measurement equipments like vectorscope, waveform monitors and audio meters.
- Knowledgeable with standards of audio and video for broadcast
- Shall have basic understanding on the proper ergonomics and pysically fit to be able to carry heavy loads of equipment/facilities to and from any remote coverage.
- Willing to be assigned in the field, work requires frequent travels
- Hardworking, willing to work or render overtime and on-call requirements. Could work unsupervised and under pressure. Honest, resourceful, good communication skills, aggressive and without attitude problem.
