Job Description
- Creating design solutions that have a high visual impact.
- Developing designs and layouts for a variety of print and digital marketing/communications materials.
- Developing creative concepts to reach target audiences.
- Managing all aspects of the production of printed and visual materials - brochures, pamphlets, posters, infographics, fact sheets, slides, exhibits, promotional items, social media images, etc.
- Proofing work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Preparing designs and files for print, websites and social media and ensuring web files are compliant with web content accessibility standards.
- Preparing print specifications for projects and coordinating with production vendors to acquire detailed print estimates.
- Related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Considerable knowledge of design, layout and commercial art methods and techniques
- Considerable knowledge of materials and equipment used in commercial art
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices used in the reproduction of artwork by photography and duplicating methods
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects
- Having basic skills in photography and videography
- Photo and Video editing skills
- Creative mindset
- Ability to multitask and prioritize based on project deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assignments
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow team members
- Ability to work independently (Work is reviewed for quality and overall design concepts.)
- Experience in using - or a willingness to learn to use - email marketing software such as MailChimp and creating emails using HTML
- Ability to understand basic web analytics to help the creative team optimize and push out content for target audiences.
- An understanding of how to connect with audiences on a variety of social media.
