Astra Financial is a financial service division of PT. Astra International Tbk which have seven business lines, Automotive, Financial Services (Astra Financial), Heavy Equipment, Mining, Construction and Energy, Agribusiness, Infrastructure and Logistics, Information Technology, and Property. Astra International established PT Raharja Sedaya, its first move into the Financial Services Business in 1982 and the purchase of majority share of PT. Maskapai Asuransi Astra Buana which established in 1956. Astra Financial’s role is to encourage the development of business units individually, as a family under Astra Financial, or even as a corporate under Astra. Nowadays, Astra Financial is consisted of 11 entities: Banking; PermataBank, Financing; Astra Credit Companies, Federal International Finance, Toyota Astra Finance, Surya Artha Nusantara Finance, Komatsu Astra Finance, GeneraI Insurance; Asuransi Astra, Life Insurance; Astra Life, Venture capital; Astra Ventura, Financial technology company; Astra Welab Digital Artha and Pension fund; Dana Pensiun Astra. By the end of June 2018, Astra Financial has total asset IDR 284 Trillion, supported by 32.534 employees and 2.344 total networks across archipelago.
