Job Description
Under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director, the Technical Assistant
- Handles all mobility concerns like conducting regular traffic studies and simulation using technology-based solutions
- In charge of maintaining and upgrading the integrated security, safety, and mobility technology-based solutions ( e.g. RFID and CCTV systems)
- Assists in implementing and monitoring compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Operations
- Conducts regular audits of the integrated security, safety, and mobility-based solutions.
- Supervises contractors in confuting preventive maintenance and repair activities
- Conducts daily monitoring of on-campus and off-campus traffic situation by gathering data ( e.g. volume count, level of service)
- Analyzes and processes traffic data gathered from the daily monitoring.
- Prepares technical reports related to the university’s compliance with the safety standards implemented by the local and national governments.
- Prepares technical or statistical reports on mobility – operation matters such as accidents and safety measures.
Systems Reliability
- Investigates traffic problems and recommends methods to improve traffic flow and safety.
- Analyzes environmental impacts of mobility initiates and projects.
- Conducts regular safety and security inspections in compliance with the university and government policies and standards.
- Conducts regular audits of the condition of campus road networks, parking, and signages.
- Prepares and implements a systematic preventive maintenance program for all the technology-based security, safety, and mobility systems and solutions
- Recommends a new system to better manage office operations
Administrative
- Assists in ensuring administration of contracts and projects needed in the performance of the section’s mandate.
- Provides technical assistant by making cost estimates and layouts and plans in preparing the office budget related to safety, security and mobility
- Assists in reviewing terms of reference and preparation of costing for projects related to safety, security and mobility.
- Coordinates with the Basic Education Unit in handling and regulating the operations of school service and internal shuttle system
Strategic
- Conducts surveys and gathers data and information as input for the formulation of strategic plans, policies and programs.
- Models traffic scenarios to evaluate the impacts of the activities such as new developments and to identify possible solutions to the perceive problems.
- Acts as the point person in conducting traffic study and simulation for modifying existing scheme and proposed new scheme using software and other technology based solutions.
- Provides inputs for the development and maintenance of mobility, security and safety policies and procedures.
- Assists in establishing a strong team of dedicated individuals with full understanding to the requirements of the office and university.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director or as may be required by the position.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of IT, Computer Engineering, or any related course
- 3 years of relevant experience in the field of safety, security, mobility, and environmental management.
