Job Description

  • Obtain and understand regulatory issuances from various regulatory bodies, validate its applicability to different business units, and ensure timely dissemination to the concerned.
  • Perform gap analysis on all applicable regulatory issuances to ensure ATRAM’s compliance to regulatory requirements within the prescribed period noted in the regulation
  • Identify potential risks and mitigating controls by conducting process risk analysis for new processes, and processes that need tight monitoring.
  • Review and update various manuals (e.g. AML Manual, Compliance Manuals, Risk Management Manuals, Business Continuity, Consumer Protection, etc.) to incorporate updates in regulatory requirements, as well as changes in processes
  • At least on an annual basis, review client account forms and templates, and revise as needed.
  • Coordinate with business units in the preparation of accurate and timely submission of all regulatory reports, including covered and suspicious transaction reporting
  • Be the point person for AML matters by performing the following: Handle requirements issued by AMLC and other regulatory bodies; engage various business units on required AML reports; closely coordinate with IT on the AML system requirements; devise processes to ensure suspicious transactions are captured and monitored; monitor compliance to AML regulations by counterparties, third party providers and the like.
  • Be the point person for FATCA matters by performing the following: ensure compliance to FATCA requirements; engage various business units on required FATCA reports; closely coordinate with IT on the related system requirements; thoroughly review related reports to ensure accurate and timely submission of FATCA requirements.
  • Perform review of compliance testing conducted in assessing business units’ compliance to regulatory and internal policies.
  • Maintain compliance awareness by conducting periodic training on AML, KYC, CDD, FATCA and related regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from counterparties pertaining to KYC information and documentation, including performance of AML and due diligence exercises
  • Assist in the development/enhancement of regulatory compliance and risk management policies, frameworks, processes and systems
  • Provide assistance during audit reviews conducted by Internal and External Auditors, as well as Regulators
  • Assist in the review and approval process of Personal Investment Application of employees
  • Act as active back-up in the performance of all other functions performed in Risk Management and Compliance Unit, and all other tasks that may be assigned by the Head of RMC from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Candidates must have completed at least a Bachelor’s/College degree in Business Studies, or the equivalent.

Experience

  • With 1-2 years relevant work experience in Compliance, preferably in trust-related products or banking products
  • Experience with BSP

Necessary Competencies

  • Good grasp of regulations, procedures, and processes of the asset management industry
  • Knowledge of the banking and financial services industry
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Documentation skills
  • Adequate training skills
