Job Description

The Accountant/Admin is accountable for the efficient delivery and management of the admin and accounting department. Accountant/Admin performs financial functions associated to the gathering, accuracy, recording, analysis of accounting transactions and administrative tasks.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, and AUTHORITIES:

  1. Bookkeeping/Accounting
    • Handle day to day accounting operation such as cash advances, reimbursements, liquidations, and payables
    • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded in timely manner
    • Update and monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable and issue invoices
    • Prepares various general and subsidiary ledger reports
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial reporting according to generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Support in reviewing of expenses, payroll records, cash advances.
    • Prepares and maintains the accuracy of check vouchers, journal vouchers and other related financial transactions
    • Update financial data in databases to ensure that all accounting records are updated, accurate and immediately available when needed.
    • Supports during month end, quarterly, semestral and year end closing reports
  2. Administrative
    • Prepares and process all necessary documents needed for the registration and/or renewal of various government permits (e.g. BIR, PEZA, SEC)
    • Develop and maintain a filing system
    • Communicate and assists the queries of suppliers and clients
    • Coordinate office activities and operation to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
    • Track stocks of office supplies and prepares purchase request when necessary
    • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  3. Benefits and Payroll
    • Prepare payroll with coordination of Accounting using a payroll processing system
    • Overall in-charge on time keeping and approvals
    • In-charge on the payment of government mandated contributions (SSS, HDMF, and Philhealth)

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/Financial Management Accounting or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable on General Accounting
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Can work under pressure with less supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly organized: able to maintain accurate and consistent documents/records
  • Proficient in cloud based services (i.e. Google Drive, Gmail, etc.)
  • Proficient with MS applications specifically MS Excel
