Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile daily, weekly and monthly financial metrics including the revenues, labor costs and operating expenses
- Complete timely tracking of performance data against budgets/forecast on a routine basis
- Analyze financial results and operating statistics to identify performance trends
- Perform ad-hoc analyses, transforming large amounts of data into key qualitative and quantitative reports
- Prepare operational, financial and statistical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing large amounts of data from internal and external sources
- Preparation of divisional and product related performance reporting and analyzing and communicating trends and drilling down into the data to identify anomalies, issues with the data, highlighting positive/negative performances
- Assist in producing monthly financial packages and presentations for board and management meetings
- Work with senior managers to develop and implement programs to streamline organizational processes, improve costs and production efficiencies
- Assist accounting team (if necessary) with general ledger entries, accruals and reversals, also with reviews of the month-end preliminary and final financial reporting packages
- Perform other functions and projects as assigned by senior managers and business leaders
Minimum Qualifications
The Financial Analyst position will be responsible for supporting the company’s senior management team by analyzing financial results and daily operating metrics. This will be a data intensive position that will use general business software and proprietary systems to evaluate the company’s performance with a focus on revenue, production costs and other operating activities. The position will report to the Director of by Financial Planning & Analysis and will also assist in producing financial, strategic and operational analyses to be used by senior management and the board of directors to implement improvements in key areas throughout the organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply problem solving skills to complex financial situations
- Computer proficiency and the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) and financial reporting software
- Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining adherence to strict deadlines
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting/Business Administration or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis or equivalent analytical experience
- Proficient in Excel (formulas - h/vlookups, pivot tables etc.), with advanced modeling skills required in order to forecast and conduct various financial analyses
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software preferred
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization
