Job Description
- Overall in-charge of equipment management and maintenance and engineering operations. Oversee, manage and direct all maintenance procedures.
- Determines methods and course of action to achieve departmental and organizational goals through effective planning and efficient performance of the department.
- Supervises periodic maintenance, servicing and inspection of equipment including Air Conditioning, Ventilation System, Plumbing Fixtures, Sewage systems, Boilers and all related instruments and controls, etc.
- Prepares and manages the yearly budget for the Engineering Department. Discusses the budget with supervisor/s, recommends and justifies any variances.
- Provide guidance for preventative and repair maintenance to ensure that plant operations are able to meet output quotas and deadlines.
- Pre-resolves any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at site that may arise at any time.
- Supervises the selection and requisition of materials to be used for site installation and maintenance.
- Designs mechanical equipment related to water supply/waste water systems and boiler operations
- Identifies engineering opportunities to reduce risk or reduce costs to enhance plant productivity, reliability, safety, and environmental performance.
- Prepares periodical progress reports such as weekly/biweekly, monthly, project inspection and close out reports
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree and a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Mechanical Engineering
- Background in Coal-fired Power Plants, or Combined Cycle Power Plants, or Cogeneration Plants, Boiler Auxiliary, Cooling System and Air Conditioners, Gensets and/or Wastewater Facility Treatment is an advantage
- 5-7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have proven project management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional organization and planning skills
- Self-motivated individual who possesses the ability to analyze, organize, plan, prioritize assignments, multi-task and achieve results through the motivation/development of others
- Demonstrated effective leadership and verbal/written communication skills required for interacting with all levels of personnel both internal and external to the organization
- Ability to develop realistic/achievable action plans to support organizational strategies
- Willing to be based in Cebu
