Sr. Software Engineer | Full Stack  

As a Software Engineer in Cobena, you’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying platforms, scripts, and applications for B2B organizations.

In this role, you'll work closely with a high-performing team distributed across the US, Canada, India, France, and the Philippines to create great software solutions (e.g. front-end platforms, microservices, APIs).

You will be expected to: understand the business context and requirements; plan, research, design, implement, deploy, test, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable technical solutions; integrate with other components; write clear documentation; assist in managing both controlled tests pre-deployment and live testing environments to assure quality; provide support for the software; and learn and evaluate new or experimental technologies.

As a Software Engineer in Cobena, you’ll need to be able to communicate your learnings and your outputs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You may also be expected to supervise more junior software developers towards the goal of forming the competencies and expertise of the latter.

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related programs; or equivalent work experience
• At least 1.5 years of work experience
• Experience in unit testing methodologies

For those who consider themselves front-end engineers:

• Experienced and proficient in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, React (hooks and function-based components), Git
• Familiar with UI/UX design principles and methodologies
• Familiar with both relational (e.g. MySQL, AWS RDS) and non-relational databases (e.g. Document DB, MongoDB)

For those who consider themselves back-end engineers:

• Experienced in Go programming (paradigms, constructs, idioms, routine and patterns) or Python, Git
• Experienced in both relational (e.g. MySQL, AWS RDS) and non-relational databases (e.g. Document DB, MongoDB), comfortable working with data
• Familiar with deploying and testing REST APIs

Nice-To-Haves

• Familiar with Amazon Web Services
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Familiar with designing efficient and reliable architectures, particularly microservice architectures
• BI Skills (Power BI, Tableau, Looker), Data Analysis Skills (Python/R)
