Full Stack Developer  

Work

We will be working primarily on FinTech and PropTech solutions. As a full-stack developer, you'll be wearing multiple hats as needed. Here are some of your potential responsibilities:

• Maintaining the server (we use serverless tech from Google Cloud so this should be easier)
• Develop web app frontend interfaces using technologies like Angular, ReactJS, or Vue (UX will not be your job)
• Develop mobile apps using Flutter, Ionic or React Native
• Develop RESTful or GraphQL API backends using PHP(Laravel, etc) or NodeJS(NestJS)
• Sometimes you may need to setup and configure WordPress or Joomla websites

You will be expected to pick up any technology really fast, or come up and innovate new technology.

The area where our main office is located is/was/will be perfect for:

• Adventure Mountain Biking (Enduro/DH and Cross-Country)
• Tennis
• Basketball
• Soccer
• Rugby
• Hiking and Spelunking
• Wakeboarding

These activities are perfectly legitimate excuses for being late or going home early. You will be required to play with us in one or more of these sports. Yes, it’s required so you’ll lose some fats, or worse, limbs (kidding).

Environment

We are not a fan of hierarchies and corporate politics. We minimize stress as much as possible and we want to provide a working environment that is condusive for creativity. There will be tight deadlines sometimes but you will never be forced to do anything against your will.

We're rapidly growing so we may start in a small office, then move to bigger and bigger office in just 2 years. If you are really what we're looking for, then you will love to see a small company grow with you. Our first 20 employees will be our valuable core team. You'll be working on lots of interesting projects, and once you get to know our roadmap, you could be really convinced that our future is bright.

In general we're looking for somebody who has these skills/attitude/character:

• Somebody who can pick up any technology fast and be productive with it in 2 weeks’ time
• Somebody who is obsessed in writing clean and well architected code but also now how to use technical debt carefully and productively
• Somebody who constantly find ways to do things better and easier (coz they’re lazy)
• Somebody who can stay on course and not easily lose interest when faced with challenges
• Somebody with intense desire to improve human (and animal) life using technology
• Somebody who will find a way to make things work no matter what

So it doesn’t matter if you know PHP, JS, Java, Ruby, or whatever. As long as you think you can learn fast, and have all these other qualities, you could be a good fit. But here are some preferred experience that could help us decide if you are a good fit:

• Frontend Web App Development using frameworks like Angular, React, and Vue
• Mobile Development (hybrid or native)
• Development of RESTful APIs using frameworks like Laravel, NodeJS, etc.
• Deep understanding of SQL and database optimization
• Knows when and how to use NoSQL technologies
• Some experience with Microservices
• Some experience in GraphQL
• Familiarity with serverless architecture
• Broad understanding of technology stacks but able to specialize on a stack as needed
