Sales Executive Job Description

Job Description : Sales Executive for E-Sports International, Inc.

Basic Function : This position exists to increase sales revenue and market share of our major products, being gym equipment and sports surfacing. This is to be achieved primarily through direct selling activities covering the specified market segment approved by management. The Sales Executive will have an assigned quota beginning five (5) months after start date and will be a fully functional Sales Executive at this time. The Sales Executive will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Sales Visit Requirements : To make at least six (6) qualified face-to-face sale visits per week into the target market segment.

New Prospect Requirements : To get at least five (5) qualified prospects per week in the specified market segment

Quotation Requirements : To submit at least three (3) quotations per week with an average value of PHP 3M total.

Reporting Responsibilities : The Sales Executive will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager. Weekly report/s need to be completed and turned in by noon every Friday, or the last business day of the week. Periodic reporting sessions to review sales and account activity will also be required.

Time Allocation : It is expected that the first three months will be allocated to product and company training. Additionally, the Sales Executive needs to complete target market segment acclimation and training within this time frame. The succeeding two (2) months will focus on prospecting, networking and personal account development. On the fifth month, the employee is considered to be a fully functional Sales Executive, and sales quota will be assigned.

Target Market Segment : To be discussed with the Sales and Marketing Manager after three (3) months.

Quota and Revenue Expectations : The first year quota is PHP 10M, and will commence after the five (5) month training and preparation period. It is expected that the Sales Executive will achieve the first-year quota.

First Three (3) Month Expectations : It is expected that within the first three (3) months that the Sales Executive will have completed the basic product and company training, and have the basic knowledge of how to sell to the assigned target market. During this time, he will be assigned to go out on sales calls and shadowing experience sales team members to get a feel of the job function.

First Five (5) Months Expectations : It is expected that within the first five (5) months that the Sales Executive will be a fully functional Sales Executive, able to meet the Sales Visits, New Prospects, and Quotation requirements with minimal to no supervision.

First Year Expectations : It is expected that the employee will achieve all set goals and objectives, is meeting the set revenue targets, and that the Sales Executive finds himself/herself in a rewarding and successful sales team.

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
