Senior Communications Manager  

Job Description

A self-starter in a relationship- and reputation-building, the Senior Communications Manager is responsible for internal and external initiatives that help promote and strengthen Edukasyon’s brand among its stakeholders. Supporting the Head of Public Affairs, primary responsibilities include:

Community Relations (B2C)

• Build and manage relationships with Edukasyon youth ambassadors (e.g. social media micro-influencers and content creators, college organizations, student-led publications)
• Develop toolkit messaging and materials for youth ambassador campaigns
• Manage event invitations, sponsorship or ex-deal requests and other collaboration opportunities from student/youth-led organizations

External Engagements •

• Represent Edukasyon at industry conferences, events and other networking activities
• Lead employee speaker pool, including tiering of speaker events/commitments and conducting presentation and key message training
• Coordinate with Partnerships team on execution of Edukasyon booths/displays at industry expos

Strategic Partnerships

• Support development and implementation of reputation-building/CSR partnerships and campaigns
• Build and manage relationships with leading corporate conglomerates

Internal Communications & Liaison

• Support Brand Strategy, HR and Operations on processes and channels that optimize internal culturebuilding and knowledge-sharing
• Work with Partnerships and Product Managers to lead project-based PR and communications needs
• Collaborate closely with Creatives, Digital Marketing and Events teams for alignment on campaign planning, messaging and execution

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field
• At least 8 years of experience in a related field or role; agency or corporate communications experience preferred
• Excellent written communications and presentation skills
• Leads by example, detail-oriented, fast learner and has a strong sense of responsibility
• Passionate about and familiar with education-technology
