foodpanda (small ‘f’) is the world’s favorite way to order food online. With hundreds of restaurants ready to receive orders via our website and mobile app, no one should have to suffer from the lack of variety or long queues to enjoy great food.

However this doesn’t happen without some really awesome people making it happen! We are currently looking for a District Manager in Manila to join our growing team in our Philippines office! Our ideal candidate is someone who is highly driven and hungry to succeed. You get things done, you question everything and you like to play in a team.

What’s on the menu for you to do:

Expansion:

  • Takes the lead and ownership of the total city launch process: Vendor acquisition, Polygon coverage, LGU engagements, Branding and fleet management
  • Close coordination with Operations team on hiring and managing delivery motorbike riders fleet, rider asset distribution and fleet preparedness for operations
  • Ensures that launch timeline is followed and can launch cities based on target dates
  • Makes the necessary suggestions/calls for launch date adjustments
  • Coordinates with cross functional departments to ensure a healthy daily operations full spectrum of smooth launch (marketing, operations, sales and finance) and maintains the city’s momentum for the next 8 weeks (2 months)

Territory Management:

  • Establish, maintain and manage good relationship with customers, vendors, and prospects and be committed to the delivery of the highest level of service and business engagement
  • Works closely with different business units to help achieve category and vertical launches in respective clusters/cities
  • Provides up to date information on city health status and suggests points of actions (POAs).
  • Coordinates with cross functional departments to ensure a healthy daily operations (marketing, operations, sales and finance). Ensure that service levels are maintained in identified metrics.
  • Measure performance and growth using appropriate system, tools and techniques
  • Initiates strategic B2B and B2C partnerships.
  • Represents the company to local partnerships and engagements (LGU, NGOs etc)
  • Identify business growth opportunities in assigned territories and must be able to seek support to execute projects
  • Maintains healthy and good working ecosystem for local FTEs
  • P&L Management on a city-level

Minimum Qualifications

What do you bring to the table?

  • Local /Able to work in / well knowledgeable of the cities within Eastern Manila (Quezon, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, San Juan)

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in operations and management
  • High level of independence, self confidence and responsibility
  • Experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Willingness to relocate to another province within the region
  • With fluency in written & verbal communication skills in English and Filipino
  • Strong data analysis and data storytelling skills. Cluster/City insights must not be generic and must always be based on actual figures/measurable items
  • Must be able to draw hypothesis, insights and proposals by looking into business statistics and trend metrics
  • Must be able to scrutinize the market and identify the city’s needs, competitor activities, and opportunities to help with overall business objectives
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft (excel, ppt)
  • Familiar with data and project management tools: Tableau, Asana
