Job Description
- To identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- To undertake pre-processing and cleaning of structured and unstructured data in order to optimize the accuracy of the analytics outputs
- To analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- To build, test, and optimize predictive models and algorithms that can be used to enhance operational effectiveness
- To present information using data visualization techniques
- To propose and implement solutions and strategies to business challenges and communicate it to stakeholders
- To produce and maintain documentation and commentary on processes and conclusions
- To perform all other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree on Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Applied Physics, Applied Math, Statistics or other equivalent degree;
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist; • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, Elasticsearch etc.)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets;
- Working knowledge in Macros is a plus; • Experience in data mining, advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.), operations research;
- Experience using data science tools
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Zoomdata, Qlikview, Tableau etc.) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Passion for problem-solving, improving and/or implementing processes
