Accountant  

JOB PURPOSE:

The job of the Accountant was established to provide accounting support to Hoegh LNG accounting which specifically responsible for processing, recording, payment and reconciling of balance account in compliance with established policies and SOX procedures. Also, to provide accounting support to other personnel.

Along with this is the Eyeshare Superuser role, the tasks is to ensure that relevant processes have been appropriately performed in accordance to Hoegh LNG Holdings Ltd. (HLNG) Internal Controls and Financial Reporting (ICFR) standards / SOX procedures and controls as described in Information Technology (IT) Policy and its subordinate documents in GMS.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To give support to end users within the organization as well as liaison between business and IT organizations – enabling IT to focus on more technical aspects of implementing changes in the system in compliance with HLNG's Internal Controls and Financial Reporting (ICFR) standards/ SOX procedures and controls. To initiate creating new or changing current user's access rights based on IT Security Control – Governing Roles and Access Management Guidelines described in HLNG's governing documents.

MAIN TASKS:

• Prepare, analyze and reconcile accounts
• Responsible for payments of invoices and other obligations
• Complete SOX controls according to guidelines in GMS
• Responsible for preparing Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Suggest/recommends improvement on current
• To be the contact person for all users of the application when specific questions related to the application are raised by the users
• To raise issues related to the application and communicate potential improvement areas to the application owner and application manager
• To hold the core expertise of the application and always being updated to date on information about the application
• To ensure that best practice is followed and distributed to the users and that the IT systems are being used as intended
• To initiate change requests to the IT Application Owner and the IT Department
• To contribute to coordinating initial analysis, testing, test-scripts, documenting and training regarding changes in Eyeshare
• To manage support and training for users and to hold the core expertise of the business and functional use of the application at all times and always being, updated to date on information about Eyeshare
• To review user access and recommend to application owner, according to the relevant IT processes.
