Job Description

MAIN ROLE:

The Jr Digital Associate is responsible for mining data and using analytics to drive engagement and conversion.

In this role you will be tasked with reviewing data and content trends from various sources, and sharing such with the Hinge Inquirer editorial team to drive content creation.

FUNCTIONAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Research, data gathering, analytics, and trend reporting

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the execution of Hinge’s data strategies particularly to:
  • Review our data to gain a deep understanding of our audience across brands
  • Actively sift through our data from Google Analytics, Search Console, and social media tools to verify that current strategies are gaining traction with the target audience
  • Design, conduct and deliver social media reports; dive deep into the data to uncover drivers of social buzz, then translate the data into a compelling story
  • Accountable for deciphering what is important, meaningful data, and then communicating the concise story in a way that allows the content team to make decisions based off the reports
  • Run content audits to check for execution gaps

Analytics

  • Prepare periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly) report by fetching the data from Google Analytics and sharing the report to concerned people
  • Conduct extensive audit of content performance, tagging and analytics set up, existing tracking capabilities and all other relevant aspects of web analytics
  • Work closely with key stakeholders from Editorial, Marketing, and Digital teams to develop understanding of key customer journeys and product elements (including all required ‘Events’, ‘Goals’, etc.)
  • Based on requirements of teams across the company, develop collection of automated and easy-to-use reports on content performance (most likely utilizing Google Data Studio)
  • Where needed provide training, advice and documentation on how best to access and understand web analytics, SEO, and social media data

Social Listening

  • Consult stakeholders on topic definitions, social listening measures and filters to define objectives and set deliverables for standard and custom reports
  • Pull and interpret data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, etc.
  • Implement social analysis for campaigns/events and present insights back to inform content decisions and advise on actions to take from optimizations standpoint

Content Strategy

  • Checking the trends in the periodic reports shared, analyze the data, and give actionable insights based on analysis

Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of Journalism or Mass Communication, Marketing or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable of digital analytics, social media, and/or market research experience
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on using data to tell a story
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with social listening tools or web analytics software a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Analytical and data driven. In other words, you’re good with numbers.
  • Able learn new technology and applications quickly
  • A highly motivated self-starter that can take initiative

  • Ability to learn and understand technical subjects and understand their relevance to the campaign performance.
