Job Description

Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendation to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in with organizational objectives.

  • Performing day-to-day book-keeping, including weekly lodgements, analysis of credit/debit payments, petty cash, invoicing
  • Preparing Monthly Management accounts for the Senior Management Team
  • Preparing financial reports for funders.
  • Developing, amending and implementing, in consultation with senior management and the Finance Sub-Committee all relevant financial policies and procedures.
  • Providing financial administration for DAI events and activities, including fundraising.
  • Following established administration and record keeping practices.
  • Representing the Organization in a positive and professional way, which promote the vision, mission and strategic priorities of the Organization.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and professional integrity is up held at all times.
  • Being flexible, adaptable and available to take on the other tasks or duties as requested by the company.
  • Compute, classify and assess financial data to keep financial record complete and accurate.
  • Filing and maintaining of receipt, report and important documents in finance department.
  • Encoding and preparation of SSS/PHIC/HDMF Contributions, online processing, filing of paid contribution.
  • Encoding of OR Expenses for Cost Management and classifying of receipt according to its proper account. Maintaining the Journal entries into its ledger book.
  • Assist in preparing and processing accounts payable checks, transfer and payments, encoding and maintaining its important attachments.
  • Reconcile and resolve invoices and other financial documents with discrepancies.
  • Computation of Basic Income Tax and Business Taxes.
  • Preparation of BIR Remittances.
  • Prepare Financial Reports (Disbursement Report, Income Statement Report and other financial statement needed by the company).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or any Business Related Course.
  • With at least 2 to 4years experience as Finance Assistant
  • With excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate ( MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point)
  • Result-oriented candidates with high level of competencies to work within a dynamic team towards achieving remarkable result are a perfect fit
  • Willing to work under pressure and extend long hours to meet deadlines
  • Awareness of the provisions of the Data Protection Act and be able to apply these within the organization
  • Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook and computerized accounting software  Good keyboard skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good organizational skills used in planning own work
  • Candidates must possess organizational and time management skills and demonstrate high professionalism and strong work ethics
