Job Description
- Direct Patient Contact and Care
- Provides proper comfort and care to the patient before, during, and after a procedure.
- Interview patients before diagnostic examinations for patient history.
- Establishes and maintains proper communication with patients.
- Duties:
- Collect blood samples, body fluids and other specimen as required for analysis.
- Operate laboratory equipment
- Perform automated tests and manual tests in Urinalysis, Chemistry and Hematology
- Validate test results as prescribed by clinic protocols.
- Quality Control
- Performs regular quality assurance tests on the equipment used.
- Calibrate equipment as required by manufacturer protocols.
- Other administrative duties
- Maintains an adequate volume of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals and reagents
- Schedules patient procedures in a timely manner and determines the appropriate sequence for multiple procedure requests.
- Maintains appropriate records of patient reports, and other required data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Medical Technology
- Preferably 2-4 Yrs experience
- Must possess Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Medical Technology
