Job Description

As Import project leader you will contribute to a great meeting with expansion by all import goods arrive in Indonesia with high quality and at lowest possible total cost. You will constantly improve and create excellence in compliance and operations in the area of project import. Import project specialist will report to project expansion manager. As Import project leader your main task are:

  1. Play active role to support expansion leader in running project for new stores and customers’ channel
  2. Secure highest possible availability of project goods at lowest cost
  3. Regular review of performance with all project members to see the chance and upcoming restriction and share to related stakeholder to find possible solutions together
  4. Actively research new rules and regulations in Indonesia and consult port authorities, and customs agencies to ensure that the company is in compliance with freight and shipping guidelines and company policies.
  5. Understand the import regulations and impact on the business, review import and duty calculation as well as detailed declaration
  6. Provide leadership in the implementation of new customs privileges and or import regulations/restrictions
  7. Manage and maintain good relationship with all concerned government units and support audit activities which required by Customs
  8. Update Customs and other relevant regulations regularly to ensure smooth operations with minimize impact/penalties
  9. Determine appropriate import compliance measures and oversee their implementation in the country (i.e oversee the organization and retention of various import control and compliance, product classifications, licensing documents, correspondence with local authorities, etc)
  10. Initiate and improve for the better Customs process efficiency and cost effectiveness
  11. Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and living IKEA culture that values the diversity of customers and co-workers and inspires extraordinary achievements in the department.

  12. You understand Free Trade Agreements and how to implement them into the daily business.
  13. Preferably you have an PPJK certificate.
  14. You are able to work and adjust in a fast changing environment.
