Job Description
An Investment Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for:
- Screening deals, conducting analysis and ensuring that the company’s CRM is updated with the latest information.
- Preparation of deep-dive sector reports and identify market opportunities and strategic opportunities and the corresponding high potential companies in the space that match the company’s investment thesis.
- Creation of financial models that enhance return on investment of projects and financial planning.
- Preparation of investment-related documents and presentations to the Management Committee, Executive Committee, Investment Committee and other stakeholders.
- Providing relevant market trends, news and updates locally, regionally and globally that may have an impact to the company’s existing portfolio, overall strategy and/or investment thesis.
- Performing due diligence and analysis i.e. market, financial, and the like on prospective deals and projects and recommend an investment decision.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent.
- At least three years’ experience in the field of finance and management.
- Experience in a venture capital firm, venture fund or investment bank would be an advantage.
- Should possess business planning skills including financial modeling and budgeting.
- Should have a proven ability to achieve and surpass targets.
- Must demonstrate skills in communication, negotiation and presentation.
