Job Description
- Provide significant support to the Internal Audit Department Head in the achievement of the Corporate Internal Audit’s functional objectives in accordance with International Internal Audit Standards.
- Assist the Internal Audit Department Head in developing and drafting the annual risk-based audit plan and managing audit projects for assigned entities.
- Schedules and plans audits, initiates project/engagement planning, assess risk and develops audit programs.
- Manages the full audit cycle including guidance to Internal Auditors in the engagement level planning and reviews the accuracy of audit results and reports.
- Develops recommendations to address the symptoms (quick fix) and root cause (sustainable fix) of the audit findings.
- Develops and provides risk and controls awareness training to educate the process owners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or another closely related field
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Technical skills (accounting, auditing)
- Persuading and influencing
- Monitoring and evaluation skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Planning and organization skills
- Business acumen skills
- Project management skills
- Leadership skills
- Atleast seven (7) years of experience in internal auditing.
- Preferably have audit related certifications such as but not limited to CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.
