Job Description
- Making telephone calls, writing letters, and/or sending faxes to patients, insurance carriers, and other responsible parties in the pursuit of getting a claim resolved
- Handling and interpreting medical documentation such as UB92 claim forms and EOB’s
- Analyzing, and interpreting documents, contracts, notes, and other correspondence
- Writing appeals to insurance carriers to overcome denials
- Manage an extensive portfolio of claims by prioritizing and organizing your time effectively
- Comply with privacy laws and our client’s needs
- Overcome obstacles by using effective information gathering and problem solving methods
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Willing to work on a night shift schedule
- 1 year office experience,
- 1 year customer service experience
- Knowledge of how to operate basic computer functions
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic in order to investigate claims issues and understand how to apply contract rates
- Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess good customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work efficiently, in an organized fashion, and hit daily and monthly performance goals
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to perform other tasks as assigned
