Nafas is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. As a rapidly growing company, we need a finance professional who can navigate the unique challenges of a startup environment and contribute to the strategic direction of the business.
Job Overview
As the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the company. You will oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting, ensuring that our financial operations are efficient and scalable. This is a hands-on role that will require you to manage both day-to-day accounting and high-level strategic finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to guide strategic decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and provide clear financial reports to the leadership team and investors.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company’s financial stability and growth.
- Accounting: Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Fundraising Support: Assist in financial due diligence for potential investors and help prepare financial presentations for fundraising activities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
- Financial Strategy: Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems to drive efficiency and scalability.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a startup environment. Experience in an early-stage startup is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Familiarity with startup financial metrics and funding processes is highly desirable.
- Tools: Proficiency with financial software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with limited resources.
- Problem-Solving: Strategic thinker with the ability to identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
