Job Description
- Leading team members in the delivery of technology solutions which meet business delivery expectations, and integrate best engineering practices.
- Mentoring, empowering, and enabling team members in their professional and technical development.
- Providing technical direction and evaluating the quality of deliverables.
- Working closely with technical and non-technical leaders to strategize on delivery approach and dependency management.
- Participating in the design process of new features and enhancements to the software platform.
- Overseeing the diagnosis of issues, evaluating and recommending the best resolution plan and executing against that plan.
- Adhering to technical development processes, standard and software engineering best practices.
- Developing, reviewing and executing on established technical road maps and continual product optimizations.
- Participating in the creation of development / software engineering best practices, including capacity planning, monitoring, configuration, security, historical metrics, recovery strategies and migration strategies.
- Providing solid facilitation, problem solving skills and able to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve project goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Have at least 4 years of experience in software engineering in total and at least one year of experience in leading a team of engineers
- End to end full-stack exposure is a must
- Speaks Go or Python as the main language
- Experienced in consumer-facing product development
- Familiarity with the Agile principle and practice
- Experience in developing mobile API
- Familiarity with microservices and CI/CD
- Understand software design pattern as well as software architecture
- Demonstrate technical leadership by having experience in leading a team of engineers as well as developing members of the team
- Have a lot of exposure to the startup industry technologies
Plus point:
- Great academic background from top universities
- Dominant exposure in mobile application development
- Have experience in the hospitality industry or online travel agency (OTA)
