Job Description

  • Set-up and lead business development function for OYO in the designated new market. May lead an entire city or a very important cluster
  • Develop holistic BD understanding of the market and the supply characteristics
  • Deliver on the supply targets and country expansion plan as per AOP for the respective country
  • Key responsibilities on day-to-day basis would include:
  • Build BD team by identifying & recruiting BDMs in local market
  • Provide training & mentorship thereby enabling BDMs to gain industry knowledge, functional expertise and know-how of OYO systems & processes
  • Conduct regular performance management exercise for all BD Managers
  • Drive changes to existing BD systems / processes as per local market requirement
  • Collaborate with central teams such as Central BD, Central Operations, Central TR, Finance etc. to ensure smooth business conduct
  • Directly engage in business development with owners or institutions with multiple properties at hand
  • Build and maintain relationship with key hotel partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of high quality experience in sales or business development
  • Demonstrated ability in building, scaling and leading a BD team
  • Experience in launching and setting-up new cities is a big plus
  • P&L focused - can run the Cluster / City like a full-fledged business and grow it exponentially
  • Demonstrated strong performance consistently throughout the tenure at OYO
  • Strong cross-functional understanding of OYO systems across BD, Operations, TR and Sales
  • Willing to relocate or extensively travel in case of new city expansion as needed
  • Ready to be placed in Bandung
