Job Description
- The IT Audit Specialist leads the conduct of IT and IT-related audit projects using the established IT auditing standard of the organization;
- Performs audit activities in accordance with applicable Auditing Standards, Internal Audit Charter and Manual;
- Can be assigned as an engagement team leader (focused or non-complex engagement) or team member (complex or process family engagements). Can guide or coach associate or newly hired auditors. Mentors audit teammates in the conduct of audit activities and performance of audit procedures;
- Assists the engagement supervisor and/or engagement team lead in developing and managing the execution of the audit plan. May also assist the team in conducting audit activities (either audit or advisory covering a process, unit, application system, or branch, or a pre-implementation review of an application system);
- Keeps abreast on new techniques and changes in governmental laws, regulations and standards pertaining to internal auditing to ensure that appropriate changes to existing procedures are made;
- Develops, reviews, and deploys continuous auditing projects according to plan, and services ad-hoc analytic requests (extraction, analysis, etc.), as required in different engagements. Assists the Chief Audit Executive and/or Audit Manager in identifying data analytics opportunities to further improve audit processes;
- Assists Team Lead in managing audit engagement; and
- Performs other duties that are required of and related to his/her function.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree graduate of Accounting;
- At least a year (1) of professional auditing experience as an IT Auditor;
- Preferably has relevant certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and other specialty certifications relevant to the role;
- Specialized Skills Needed: Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and develop remediation strategies;
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information while working with a variety of technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting of the network;
- Keen attention to detail, excellent people skills and a strong understanding of business principles and environments;
- Possess analytical expertise, the ability to identify and tackle critical issues head on, excellent practice development;
- With good verbal/written communication and analytical thinking/problem solving skills
- Self-motivated, quality-conscious and with good leadership capabilities;
- Has the ability to adapt quickly to varied assignments and rapidly changing audit conditions;
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday between 7am to 5pm; and
- Work Setup: Hybrid, 1-2 times a week onsite in Legaspi Village, Makati and 1-3 times a week work at home.
