Job Description
- Ensures a continuing supply of blood in the blood center by
- Arranging mass donation
- Enhancing office collection
- Organizes public appeals (peptalks), lectures and other possible venues of promotion to seek support for the voluntary blood drive.
- Organizes and conducts training of trainers on donor recruitment and retention and training of donor recruiters
- Assists chapters in operating Blood Collecting Unit/Blood Station and in implementing an effective donor recruitment and retention system
- Assists in fostering relationships of the Blood Center with other organizations such as GOs, NGOs, and/or LGUs and institutions such as hospitals
- Identifies the need for and designed materials for advocacy and promotion of voluntary blood donation
- Continuously seeks for effective donor recruitment and retention strategies
- Participates in the conduct of mass blood donations whenever necessary blood bank medical technologist (limited to blood dispensing only)
- Performs the functions of a blood bank receptionist, blood bank nurse, or blood bank medical technologist
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by superiors, including but not limited to, the following:
- Accompanies Blood Services Committee chairperson in functions related to Blood Services
- Coordinates appointment of the Blood Services Committee chairperson pertaining to Blood Services
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed Medical Technologist
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good motivational and marketing skills
- Computer literate
- Willing to be assigned to other areas.
