Job Description

Ralph’s Wines and Spirits is a family-owned wines and spirits retail company in the Philippines, established in 1975 by the Joseph brothers. We offer a collection of blockbuster brands from some of the planet’s top vineyards, distilleries, and breweries complemented with professional and personalized service with fifteen bottle shops in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Boracay Island, Subic and Clark and still growing.

Ralph’s Wines & Spirits is looking for an experienced Head Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all accounting responsibilities and activities of our business operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all accounting matters regarding all business entities of Ralph’s. We are looking for a consummate professional and detail-oriented individual.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, analyzes, and creates P&L reports for all 15 branches of the business.
  • Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports such as Profit & Loss and Net Asset.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Reports to management all financial statements of the business.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering accurate account information and keeping organized record.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account and sales information.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Checking and answering emails and messages from management, suppliers, stores, and employees.
  • Checking all the reports, vouchers, and documents coming from different branches.
  • Counter-checking of sales against deposit for all stores.
  • Scrutinizing checks made and for signature.
  • Checking of Receipts and Disbursement.
  • Assist in Payroll Processing.
  • Preparation of bank transfer for payroll process.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
  • Assisting on Inventory reconciliation.
  • Preparations of audit schedules.
  • Checking of cash in bank of all accounts.
  • Benchmarking of Purchases for the month.
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT and EWT.
  • Furnishing schedule of input tax.
  • Communication with suppliers.
  • Attending to BIR concerns, submission of BIR requirements, and filing of BIR Returns.
  • Encoding of sales and purchases to BIR system.
  • Processing of registration to BIR.
  • Analyze and prepare cash position report.
  • Analyze corporate income tax.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess at least a College/Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Corporate Finance, Business Management or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position - Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Keen attention to details and effective organizational skills
  • With good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple accounting tasks
  • Good Time Management skills
  • Detail oriented and proficient with reporting
  • Excellent English Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be willing to work in Pasay
