Technical Support Engineer

Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for 24/7/365 monitoring and first level troubleshooting of all Information Technology operations incidents, including maintenance and upgrades of casino servers, network and services that form the backbone of IT Operations. Your responsibility is to monitor, evaluate, and provide escalation support according to agreed SLAs/OLAs as well as bring new ideas that enhances the service. You are passionate in ensuring that all Infrastructure and Application environments are running to their optimal capabilities.

Specifically, you are involved in:

  • the round-the-clock monitoring of Application Support platforms
  • the resolution of basic-level events
  • the escalation of all mid-to-upper level incidents to appropriate IT Technical teams
  • the documentation of all identified incidents from origin to resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Knowledgeable in basic networking, programming, scripting with capability to create systems from scratch
  • Has basic knowledge in Linux but is not required
  • Knows computer troubleshooting and networking
  • Competent in MYSQL, MSSQL, and at least basic knowledge of PHP or other programming languages
  • Tech-savvy and updated with current trends in technology

EDUCATION: Graduate of a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year solid related work experience in the related field is preferred; fresh graduates who are up to the challenge and willing to be trained are welcome to apply.
