Job Description
- Recommends third party vendors for chartering of international vessels, customs brokers, freight forwarders, truckers/haulers, and/or consolidators, and insurance providers based on competitive rates.
- Plans the point-to-point logistics requirements in most efficient manner to support movement of goods; secures marine cargo and in-land insurance; and arranges unloading equipment from port to warehouse.
- Accredits potential third party vendors and evaluates actual performance.
- Monitors goods in transit and prepares pre-arrival requirements.
- Reviews and updates comparative charges of third party logistics providers.
- Establish external relations with government agencies and third party vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Keen attention to details
- Maintains highest ethical and integrity standards in all internal and external dealings and relationships
- At least 3 years experience in logistics function, inlcuding chartering, customs brokering, and freight forwarding
- Exposure in any of the cement, steel, or solar industries is an advantage.
