Job Description
- Conducting vulnerability assessments on a wide variety of technologies and implementations utilizing both automated tools and manual techniques, network penetration tests, application penetration tests (web and thick client), wireless security assessments, social engineering assessments, physical security assessments
- Developing subject matter expertise in topics to include: network, database, wireless and application security assessments, and adversarial network operations
- Researching and analyzing known hacker methodology, system exploits, and vulnerabilities to support methodology development and execution
- Utilizing a variety of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
- Effectively communicating successes and obstacles with fellow team members and leaders
- Ethically operating with appreciable latitude in developing methodologies
- Creating written reports, detailing assessment findings and recommendations
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum GPA 3.00 (scale 4.00)
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Information System, Computer Science, Management Information System or related field
- 2 years in the IT profession
- Familiar with *Nix and Windows operating systems, major network devices (Cisco, etc...) and at least one type of database
- Experience/understanding of networking, including port numbers, services, protocols, TCP-IP stack and OSI-Model
- Experience/understanding of security principles, policies and industry best practices
- Experience/working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, including C, Perl, Python and/or Bash
- Have GIAC and/or OCSP/OSCE and/or CEH and/or ECSA and/or LPT certification
- Experience/understanding common network vulnerability assessment techniques and tools such as: Nmap, Nessus, or Nexpose
- Experience/understanding application security assessment techniques and tools such as: Webinspect, AppScan, Nikto, Burp Suite Pro and/or ZAP
- Experience/understanding penetration testing techniques and tools such as: Cobalt Strike, Metasploit Framework, Core Impact Pro, Immunity Canvas, Armitage and/or Social Engineering Toolkit
- Experience/understanding with NIDS/HIDS, network and application firewalls, proxies and other information security products
- Familiarity with common penetration testing methodologies such as the OSSTMM, OWASP Testing Guide and the PTES
- Familiarity with web application concepts such as: JavaScript, XML, SOAP, REST, and/or AJAX
- Having good self-motivation, fast learner, can do attitude, able to work as a team and good administration skill
- Willing to work extended hours/holiday/weekend to meet project requirements
- Able to work under required time and pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skill
- Strong analytical and problem solving
