Job Description
- Handle the data analytics requests submitted on Data Analytics Center web portal.
- Discuss with request owner to fully understand the background and their demands, propose appropriate analysis plan based on requirement.
- Process, clean and control the data used for analytics. Give feedback on data issues encountered during analysis.
- Conduct data analysis to discover meaningful insights and develop fact-based recommendations or improvements for business operation and growth.
- Produce good quality of materials/decks/presentations to interpret results in a clear and an easy-to-understand manner to request owner.
- Follow the guidance of Data Analytics Lead to well organize the analysis environment (folders, files, codes) and clearly document the steps, so that the analytics work can be easily understood and reproduced by other data analysts.
- Create reporting/dashboard with Business Intelligence tools or advanced analytics tools to support monitor key business metrics on different dimensions (customer, policy, sales…)
- Work with Data Engineer to ensure the data integration between the reports/dashboard and IT systems
- Monitor the data flow to ensure the refresh of reporting/dashboard on a pre-defined frequency.
- Centralize data knowledge of previous analyses from different departments and build a data knowledge library to share insights learned from data with different business stakeholders.
- Develop strong domain knowledge and deep understanding of IT systems and its data by answering business questions with data analytics.
- Influence the business to be a data driven culture
- Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to support new data driven initiatives when needed.
- Partner with the data manager/data steward to ensure the quality of data and data accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2- 4 years’ experience in MIS, Data Management and Advanced Analytics [ Mandatory ]
- Business Acumen.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent knowledge of relational database and SQL skills, familiar with Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle
- Excellent mastering of data visualization and business intelligence tools
- Good programming and scripting skills (Python, R)
- Scientific/IT training with good notions in probability/statistics.
- Experience with common data science toolkits (Jupyter notebook, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy…) and big data infrastructure (HDFS, Hive…) will be a big plus.
