Job Description

Job Summary

Develop business objectives, brand strategies and growth plans that align with Company goals. Oversee the overall management of the QHC portfolio of distributed brands and/or private label brands

Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the brand planning process by developing and executing annual brand target setting, brand strategy review and brand operating plans
  • Drive product positioning and competitive selling strategies to increase market share
  • Manage the product mix within the brands’ respective product categories and maintain brand integrity across product lines & communications
  • Develop pricing strategies and guidelines to offer competitive market prices while maximizing gross margins
  • Monitor and meet Gross Margin (GM), Gross Margin Return on Inventory Investment (GMROII) and Months-On-Hand (MOH) standards
  • Manage the Open-To-Buy (OTB) across the respective brands’ product categories to ensure that sales targets are met, that purchases are within budget and that inventory levels meet MOH standards
  • Establish and manage distribution channels in collaboration with Channel Sales and/or Sales Team to ensure sales target achievement and growth
  • Facilitates the documentation required for brand & product sponsorships
  • Provide in-store visual and product merchandising guidelines as well as train store personnel accordingly for proper implementation
  • Accomplish the season Line Plan and lead the range planning coordination meeting with Channel Sales / Sales Team, Retail Operations and Merchandising
  • Design an annual marketing plan and ensure the implementation of all related marketing strategies; control, manage and monitor all related marketing activities & expenses in accordance with the approved marketing budget
  • Analyze, accomplish and report monthly brand performance for external principals and internal management
  • Develop and execute disposal strategies to deplete aging and slow moving inventory
  • Conduct regular product knowledge training to equip team members with the proper techniques and methods to present the product to customers in effort to drive sales
  • Orchestrates overall direction and executes actual implementation with regard to brand initiated events, Company-wide sale initiatives & other sales driven efforts

  • Manage and achieve sales targets and brand profitability for QHC distributed and/or private label brands
  • Develop and implement annual brand strategies and plans
  • Ensure efficient months level of inventory and turns
  • Foster leadership, teamwork, creativity, commitment, integrity and passion in parallel with QHC’s mission to develop extraordinary champions

Key Performance Indicators

  • Increase in sales growth, net income, market share, and brand equity for all QGC brands
  • Meet Gross Margin (GM), Gross Margin Return on Inventory Investment (GMROII) and Months-On-Hand (MOH) standards & Annual Budget Targets
  • Average to excellent employee engagement score

a. Education : COLLEGE GRADUATE

b. Work Experience : MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE in BRAND MANAGEMENT

c. Training / Technical Skills

Working Environment

    1. 60% office based / 40% store rounds and market visit
    1. with occasional travel for international meetings

About Toby's Sports In the Philippines, basketball may be the favorite sport, but with hundreds of malls in Metro Manila, shopping arguably comes close. When it comes to retail stores, one name pops up across the board as the ultimate destination for sports equipment and apparel: Toby’s Sports. The retail chain had its small beginnings in 1978 as a small and modest toy shop selling imported Disney goods in a quiet corner of the Greenhills Shopping Center. The store, which was first called Toby’s Forms and Shapes and later on Toby’s Sports and Hobbies, was the brainchild of Roberto Claudio, Sr., who named the store after his eldest son.
