The Guidance Counselor for SPED students is in-charge of providing support to students who have or may have Special Needs via creation of Accomodation Programs, IEPs or actual one on one teaching. This includes the coordination and information dissemination between all stakeholders.The Guidance Counselor serves as a facilitator to help students succeed in achieving their academic goals as well as in their social development goals. Successful counselor hires are expected to:
- Be globally-minded, helping students see beyond themselves to better understand the world.
- Work collaboratively in a cross-cultural school environment.
- Develop personal and professional growth.
- Contribute to a warm, nurturing and big-hearted school culture.
Minimum Qualifications
- Educated to a degree level from the top universities of the country, preferably at graduate-level or with international study or qualification, in the field of SPED or Counseling
- Preferably a licensed counselor or licensed SPED teacher, and at least two (2) years of relevant counseling/intervention experience, or teaching experience in SPED
- Preferably experienced in making IEPs, and OT programs
- Have proficiency in Microsoft programs, and Google Apps for Education
- Must be smart, efficient with strong organizational skills and a good track record
- Excellent competency in English is a must with skills in communicating in written and oral form to stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team, with a warm personality and a flexible attitude
- WIth high moral and work ethic
- Applicants must be willing to work full-time in Pasig City by July for School Year 2020-2021
