Job Description
LOCAL TAX ADMINISTRATION GROUP is responsible for the following:
- Manage and liaise with local tax authorities and consultants for the purpose of establishing and maintaining strong and good rapport with them
- Continuously expand and establish a network of contacts with all the local government offices having regulatory or tax jurisdiction overall business units for purposes of building, maintaining and improving harmonious relationships with such local government offices
- Provide local tax audit support by liaising with the local tax audit authorities and coordinating closely with the finance group
- Provide internal local tax advisory services to the business units, in close coordination with the finance group
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any business related course
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience as a government relations officer or local tax liaison
- Exposure to handling liaising with the municipality/city government offices, primarily in relation to new/renewal/retirement of permits and licenses, filing and securing applications and managing government relations
