Job Description
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – Key Accounts and Site Acquisition
Responsible in assisting the Business Development Manager in expanding Robinsons Supermarket's network of property development through new leads, expansion initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions of other companies that will be beneficial to the company.
LEAD GENERATION / SITE SELECTION
- Assists the Business Development Manager in expanding Robinsons Supermarket's network of property development leads that include mall owners, residential low and high rise developers, BPO's, and real state
- Assists the Bus. Dev. Manager in searching potential new sites for all Robinsons Supermarket formats on the basis of site and market study, tenant-mix analysis, and reasonable commercial lease rates
- Assists the Bus. Dev. Manager in packaging land lease arrangements and matching them with third-party developers
- Assists the Bus. Dev. Manager in coordinating all site inspection activities with all Business Units (BU's) concerned with the development
MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS
- Assists the Bus. Dev. Manager in searching for potential retail formats that can be acquired by Robinsons Supermarket
- Assists the Bus. Dev. Manager in the negotiation and coordinates the financial, legal, and operational evaluation with the various BUs' and shared services departments concerned
NEGOTIATION
- Assists in the evaluation and review of lease term proposals and contracts from various lessors
- Supervises the preparation of counter-lease offers
- Liaises with the Legal Department in the evaluation and finalization of lease contracts
- Liaises with the BUs concerned regarding any request or concern that pertains to the project
BU MOBILIZATION OPERATIONS
- Links the BU's Store Planning Department and Engineering with the mall/developer in executing construction plans and technical aspects of the development
- Assists in organizing joint measurements, confirmation of stubouts, and punch listing between parties
STORE ON-GOING CONCERNS / LESSOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Coordinates actively and supports various BU's on marketing initiatives like mall selling/exhibits, store expansion, and construction bond refund
- oordinates and supports various BU's on concerns pertaining to technical matters; resolves various Lessor-Lessee concerns & vise-versa swiftly
RECORDS / DOCUMENTS MANAGEMENT
- Assists in the over-all administration of signed lease agreements
- Supervises the orderly keeping of records/contracts. Ensures that all supporting documents are complete and always updated
- Assists the Bus. Dev. Manager in the preparation of project updates, strategic initiatives, and problem action plans for the semi-monthly Business Development coordination meeting
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any Business course
- Amenable to conduct fieldwork
- With at least 5 years related work experience
- Background in retail is a plus
