Job Description

The Role: Senior Specialist, Compensation & Benefits (APAC)

The Location: Philippines (Makati or Pasig Office)

The Team: The Total Rewards Specialist will be part of the Global Total Rewards Team responsible for APAC, excluding India & Pakistan based in Philippines and working with counterparts in the United States, Europe, India and Pakistan. You will be joining a company with a focus on market intelligence and new technology.

The Impact: You will be responsible for supporting the APAC Total Rewards team in meeting the compensation and benefits needs of the business and employees. You will be responsible for compensation plan administration and benefits related functions at a tactical level and you will perform structured work assignments such as calculations and standard reporting. Your ability to use your initiative and drive changes, even in small ways, will help your colleagues such as Finance, People Shared Services, Talent Acquisition and People Partners / Advisors to work more effectively.

Using your strong Excel skills, you will support regular compensation related actions such as benchmarking, accruals maintenance and ad-hoc data analysis requests. You will also be involved in broader People Function or global Total Reward projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration of the year-end compensation process, liaising with the Global Total Rewards Team, handling reporting and analysis, responding to audit requests, etc. to ensure the success of the process.
  • Support annual global participation in external compensation surveys and participate in special benchmarking studies. Includes partnering with people Partners and Advisors, as well as external vendors, to ensure the proper match for the jobs, create reports, analyse results and report findings to Compensation team
  • Partner with the Compensation team in conducting the job evaluation process: determining grade levels & Job Families
  • Review of data for the implementation of year-end compensation recommendations including validation of bonus eligibility, grade levels, titles, salary ranges, etc.
  • Supporting the team with benefits benchmarking and practices
  • Develop compensation communication materials and training

Minimum Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • 3-5 years of extensive experience in compensation & benefits in APAC countries.
  • Strong ability to handle stakeholder communication and build partnerships with internal teams such as People Partners & Talent Acquisition.
  • You will preferably have some knowledge and experience of Human Resource processes and HR systems
  • Good knowledge of Excel and other MS Office skills is a requirement, with the desire to become more proficient in this area
  • You will be highly detail focused, and will be able to present complex data in a way that is logical and simple to understand. You will have great organizational skills and will be able to manage your workload to ensure competing deadlines will be met.
  • Your interpersonal skills will help you to develop collaborative relationships to drive problem resolution.
  • You will use your initiative to identify improvements and implement or streamline processes.
  • Amenable to work in midshift and flexible to work in Makati or Pasig city.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Advance to Expert-level Excel skills
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail is critical; able to work on concurrent projects
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment in task force situations
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to utilize HR system (Workday)
  • Position requires the ability to summarize, present and analyze HR data
