Job Description
Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of DevOps and Systems Engineer to Plan, build and maintain a highly fault tolerant infrastructure on AWS
- Work with the Systems Engineer to Monitor the performance of systems
- Work with the Systems Engineer to Keep our infrastructure up and running smoothly
- Automate the build and deployment process
Minimum Qualifications
Must have
- Experience in managing infrastructure solutions or DevOps
- Strong grasp of configuration management tools (Ansible, Kafka, Jenkins)
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Strong version control experience (Git, Gitlab)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Elk, Grafana, Splunk)
- Good grasp of networking principles
- Scripting / programming proficiency in your preferred language
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with chef, puppet or other Infrastructure Automation frameworks
Nice to have
- Experience with big data solutions is a plus (kdb, Spark)
- Experience with No SQL data stores (MongoDB, CouchDB, ElasticSearch, Hbase, etc)
- Experience with networking (Switching, routing, VLANS, etc)
- Strong Linux (Preferably Ubuntu LTS) experience
- Good communication skills
- Industry experience with Amazon AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
