Slide Genius is the premier global Presentation Design Agency providing presentation design solutions to over 3,000 global clients including Adidas, Reebok, Facebook, Blizzard, Delta Airlines, NASCAR, JP Morgan, and many more. We are headquartered in San Diego, CA working with clients both big and small, providing us with new and exciting projects every day.

What the heck is a Visual Designer?

Visual Designers at SlideGenius are responsible for designing interactive microapp experiences and other digital outputs for our clients and our marketing team. They have polished design instincts as well as advanced problem-solving competency. They are experts in user interface design and building effective digital experiences. They are a part of the design process from start to finish, working on the concept of the design as well as its overall production. Some projects require working independently while others involve working within a team. Execution of projects is done under the supervision and guidance of the Art Director of Multimedia, whom Visual Designers also report.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Translate ideas and concepts into useful and engaging visual solutions
• Apply design expertise and problem-solving capabilities to projects for a wide range of clients across multiple verticals
• Collaborate with a team of designers and project managers to produce dynamic and engaging solutions across a variety of media
• Use your experience and skills to create wireframes and prototypes based on the project description, interpretation, and direction
• QC projects and work to make sure they adhere to the highest level of quality and standards
• Complete projects on time and within budget.
• Update internal time and project management software accurately.
• Collaborate with team members.
• Meet KPI goals.

What kind of projects would I be working on?

Our client base ranges anywhere from mom-and-pop shops to Fortune 500 companies. You will have the opportunity to work on them all and if a designer catches wind of a specific project that they want to be a part of, we make sure that they are involved!

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Strong experience in web and mobile design for clients
• Strong design skills including typography, composition, color theory, and hierarchy of information
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thoroughly check your own work
• Must be able to work reliably and accurately under tight deadlines
• Portfolio or work samples are required
• Professional and positive approach
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and facilitative
• Effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal
• Strong organizational ability and ability to multitask
• Experience within an agency environment is strongly desired

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic and/or web design is preferred
• 2+ years of user-centered digital design experience
• Experience working in an agency and/or design firm is a plus
