Job Description
- Set up frameworks (including documents and processes) to support the creation and implementation of the credit products.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify existing clientele in the portfolio who would benefit from and qualify for credit opportunities.
- Holistically evaluate and make decisions regarding credit applications by reviewing both quantitative (financial statements and projections) and qualitative (company history, online presence) data.
- Work with finance to determine and optimize capital costs.
- Create and maintain credit loss models.
- Continually evaluate the portfolio to identify potential changes in client creditworthiness and make adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with the sales, customer success, and operations team to communicate with clients and ensure a positive experience.
- Continually ensure compliance with credit agreements and perform routine analyses of the portfolio to mitigate risk
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience in credit underwriting or commercial banking
- Previous experience in consumer loans and commercial loans is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and credit rating practices
- Experience with reading, interpreting, and making business decisions based upon corporate financial statements
- Experience with creating and ensuring compliance with internal processes
- Exceptional attention to details
- Comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced environment and overcoming new challenges on a daily basis
