Job Description
- Responsible in assuring that schedule and deployment PM Technician within their area.
- Escalates, manages and coordinates if restoration would require intervention or assistance from other support groups (e.g., BCS, Cabling or Construction, etc.) or from additional team to back up.
- Review and Monitors any temporary corrective remedies to facility breakdown if permanent resolution would exceed standard network fault restoration (eg., bypass cable, etc).
- Ensure that all activities are updated through our existing workforce management tools and software.
- Conducts daily inspection to ensure compliance to safety standards and policies of field personnel and completeness of individual and group’s safety requirements.
- Performs ocular inspection as may be required such as survey of cable lines for span sag, vertical clearance, kink or damage and status of other network electronics.
- Ensures that Power supply installation, troubleshooting, minor repair/ restoration/replacement and all other network activities are done within schedule and based on set standards.
- Address all work order/ faults referred by NOC, DFG, MDU Support Group and other operations groups which are beyond their scope of work.
- Responsible for the dispatch and fulfillment of all CATV, Broadband and Corporate premise service activities.
- Ensures the augmentation of Drop service capacity during emergency, sporadic events and contractor deficiency.
- Responsible for the disbursement of revolving fund as the needs arises and uses his sound judgment in prioritizing and allocating expenses.
- Conducts time to time field supervision of all drop related, special projects and other activities.
- Ensure and Monitor OSP Power Supply accounts bills, Pole Rental bills, Dark Fiber Rental, and other utility bills within assigned area ensuring are settled within prescribed period
- Attends to meetings with different Telecom companies and LGU concerning pole clearing operations, permit requirements and other Network Operations related matters.
- Responsible for the implementation of Department’s SOP, KPI, MBO and company’s existing policies and code of ethics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Engineering or a related discipline; preferably Licensed Engineer
- Cisco certification or any equivalent certificate
- Minimum 7 years relevant working experience in Cable, Telco environment
- Highly skilled in CATV, IP or LAN/WAN Network
- Knowledgeable on IP Network Systems
- Team player and highly motivated.
- Results oriented and attentive to details
- Willing to work in varied shifts and remains on-call on emergencies.
