Retail Store Merchandiser | Asics  

The Retail Store Merchandiser will be responsible for leading on buying and assorting merchandise for Asics Stores all over the Philippines, in accordance with corporate guidance and providing on-going feedback around merchandise needs. The successful candidate will be required to establish strategic merchandise plans for sales, markdowns, inventory, and growth opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading on buying and assorting merchandise for Asics Stores nationwide
• Assist in formulating the buying strategy and the buying process to make sure each buy is done properly (quantity and styles) by assorting the line, analyzing history, and identifying volume drivers to maximize sales for each season
• Work closely with Marketing team to incorporate Product Launch, Key theme push, store events and etc.
• Work closely with VM for the Windows to maintain a global image.
• Be responsible for the merchandise distribution, stock allocation and merchandise reordering management
• Key communicator of the assigned seasonal merchandising strategy to all stores
• Run various sales reports as required and analyze data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to identify trends, inventory situation, and opportunities, recommending action plan in order to drive sales
• Provide action plan on best-selling and slow moving products
• Recommend markdowns and promotions
• Call out initial product delivery issues and/or propose replenishment
• Help in company-initiated events
• Participate in projects such as product trainings, in-store activities, new store opening, product launches of the brand
• Other tasks as assigned

• Graduate of a 4-year related course from a reputable college or university
• At least 2 solid years experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Strong planning, communication and presentation skills
• Sound business acumen and retail numerical sense, detailed with strong analytical skills
• Proficient in MS office applications
• Knowledgeable in systems such as SAP an advantage
• Able to travel as and when required
