Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand the clientele for our fast-growing IT company. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. This role has three primary responsibilities:
- Identifying new sales and partnership leads
- Pitching and selling our IT services to potential clients and partners
- Maintaining fruitful relationships with new and existing customers
When it comes to generating leads, day-to-day duties may include:
- Developing a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
- Contacting potential clients via LinkedIn, email, or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
- Planning and overseeing marketing initiatives
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
When it comes to sales, other typical duties are:
- Preparing pitch decks and portfolio presentations
- Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s services
- Developing quotes and proposals
- Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
- Keeping records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
When it comes to maintaining fruitful relationships with customers, duties may include:
- Socializing with clients to build healthy and long-term relationships
- Providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
Minimum Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who meets the following profile:
- Proven work experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
- Superb communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Google Docs and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
- Market knowledge
- Ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
We have a high preference for candidates who have:
- Knowledge and experience working in the IT industry with this role or a similar role.
- Experience managing stakeholders of varying seniority
