Digital Merchandise Officer  

Main Task: Responsible for planning and selecting merchandise for the various online stores of the brands under the Digital Commerce team. He/She ensures that the right merchandise is available at the right store, at the right time, with accurate product details. The Digital Commerce Merchandise Officer sees to the health of the overall inventory vis-à-vis sales performance and targets. He/She is the gatekeeper for merchandise profitability.

• Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration/Management or Entrepreneurship.
• With at least 3 years experience in merchandising or retail operations.
• Experience in eCommerce/online shopping operation or merchandising/buying in the retail industry is highly preferred.
• Multichannel inventory planning and management.
• Thorough understanding of all inventory performance KPIs.
• In-depth knowledge of merchandising principles and practices (open-to-buy, buying, sales, pricing, allocation, markdowns, sell through, inventory turnover).
• Experience in successfully using eCommerce platforms such as Shopify or Magento is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, process development/improvement, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Possesses excellent communication skills (verbal and written); able to communicate successfully with a wide variety of people across all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Displays accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the role, due to the ability to pay attention to details.
• Able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Must be committed, creative, enthusiastic, reliable, dependable and flexible.
• Happy, extroverted personality who can be assertive when necessary.
