Job Description

Processes loan applications and evaluates creditworthiness based on agreed standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Processing

  • Receives clients and attends to their inquiries regarding loan application
  • Pre-screens clients to determine their financial needs, pension type and eligibility for loan application; secures the necessary documentation to facilitate loan processing
  • Conducts the appropriate verification process to determine clients’ pension status, loanable limits, and accuracy of information provided in submitted requirements
  • Encodes loan information to database and prepares the necessary documentation to initiate the loan approval process
  • Provides timely feedback to concerned parties (e.g. walk-ins/ sales agent) on status of application to facilitate remedial action and minimize delays in processing (e.g. due to lack of proper documentation).
  • Coordinates with Head Office for loan payment processing and release; facilitates loan proceeds releasing to borrowers; conducts necessary follow-ups to ensure timely release.
  • Assists the Branch Head in preparing documents/ data for management reporting.
  • Identifies areas for process improvements in accordance with customer needs and company’s requirements; provides input to Branch Head/ Credit management.
  1. Approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
  2. Coordinate with applicants/ client representatives (for institutional accounts) to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.

Business Building

  • Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
  • Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
  • Review and update credit and loan files.
  • Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Compute payment schedules.
  • Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers' needs.
  • Submit applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with accounts who have delinquent loans.
  • Market bank products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that may meet customers' needs.
  • Prepare reports to send to customers whose accounts are delinquent, and forward irreconcilable accounts for collector action.
    • Proactively identify and escalate areas for process / policy improvements to management and other appropriate departments
    • Make an analysis and determine the creditworthiness level of the customer, based on the application for the consumer loans granting in accordance with local regulatory acts of the Company;
    • Take decisions on the loan granting to the client;
    • Verify the reliability of personal information provided by the customer;
    • Participate in the organization of the company's work, to help increasing profits.
    • Facilitates loan releases to clients including handling and processing of loan documentation and disbursement of cash proceeds to and/or processing of account crediting for the borrower
    • Receives and address client inquiries in coordination with head office departments if necessary

Customer Relation Management

  • Engages clients and attends to their inquiries according to Golden Legacy’s customer service standards.
  • Suggests ways to improve customer service practices based on day-to-day client interactions in the branch.

Branch Administrative Management

  • Supports and assists the Branch Head in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of branch premises.
  • Maintains an inventory of office supplies and places orders when necessary.
  • Maintains an efficient filing system for branch documents.
  • Maintains a record of office expenses and provides regular reporting to Branch Head.
  • Processes actions needed for branch maintenance including utility and other payments, coordination for business and local permits, and other requirements needed for the upkeep of the branch

Others:

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College graduate
  • Has some experience in customer-based companies (Customer service orientation)
  • Has some familiarity with credit and collection concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience in Loan processing and evaluation and collection, an advantage
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications (database, MS Office, OpenOffice, Email)
  • Experienced in clerical and administrative procedures
  • Exhibits good communication skills; able to relate well with different groups
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
